1148 Covid patients recovered in April: Civil Surgeon
SAS Nagar, May 9 : The district health department is working tirelessly to protect people from Covid-19 and providing quality treatment to the patients. While Covid testing has already been intensified, Covid patients are recovering on account of better monitoring and treatment arrangements by the health department.
Divulging the details, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rupinder Gill and Covid Nodal officer Dr.Harmandeep Kaur said that during the month of April, a total of 1376 Covid cases had surfaced, out of which 1148 patients were fully recovered and remaining ones are in isolation in the district. During this period, two deaths have been reported.
The senior officials further said that Covid testing has already been accelerated by the Health Department and a total of 11647 Covid tests were done during this period. They added that people's cooperation is extremely important to stop the spread of this disease. They again appealed to the people to wear a mask for protection from Covid and to follow the necessary precautions like frequent hand washing. The health officials asked people to visit hospitals in case of any serious problem only. Instead, they should contact the health department's helpline 104 for the expert advice.
