Ludhiana,23 April (Daljeet Vicky) To inculcate the spirit of duty and responsibility, Sacred Heart Convent School, Sec-39, Urban Estate, Ludhiana, organized an Investiture Ceremony for the appointment of new leaders in the student cabinet for the session 2024-2025.
Mr. Harneet Singh Bhatia, Principal (PES-1) of Govt Sr. Sec. Smart School, Panjgraian, Ludhiana was the chief guest for the event. He was given a warm welcome by the tiny tots of Kindergarten and the school band. The Main Hall was all decked with different house flags and sashes.
The school Principal, Rev. Sr. Crispin Maria, welcomed the eminent guest, teachers and students. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp invoking the blessings from the Almighty to fill the hearts and souls of the students who were to be invested different duties followed by the inauguration of the Arts Club.
A brief report on the achievements of the different Clubs of the school- Literary Club, Eco–Club, Arts Club, and Science Club was presented through PowerPoint Presentation. The ceremony featured cultural performances of Dance and Bhangra to mark the occasion.
The members of the students’ council accompanied by their respective Housemistress/master walked with pride and responsibility to receive badges from the dignitaries. The Chief Guest along with the Principal conferred with badges and sashes to the members of the students’ Council, in a sequence of their portfolio, starting with the Head Boy and the Head Girl, followed by the Club Heads, the Sports Secretaries and the Cultural Secretaries.

From the Senior classes Arjun Pareek of class XI Commerce was elected as the Head Boy and Arshia Malhotra of class XI Medical was elected as the Head Girl for the session 2024-2025. Manan Jain and Lovegurleen Kaur Sandhu were respectively selected as Head boy and Head girl from Primary Wing. Sports Captains were Kawal Preet Singh and Pragati. The Chief Guest administered the oath to the newly elected students’ Cabinet.

Prizes were given to the Best Dancer Seerat (VII-Brown), Best Artist Smaksh Malhotra (VII-Blue), Best Singer Gurdev Kaur (XI-Non Medical), Best Orator( Jahnvi Kaushal (XI Non Medical) and Best Reader Brahmjot Kaur(VII-Red) by the Arts Club of the school.
Awards for full attendance during the Academic Session 2023-24 were given to Gurvir Singh (VI-Rose), Siya Chhabra (VI-Rose) Reyansh Verma ( VIII-Yellow), Avneet (VII-Brown), Jeevan Khalko (III- Brown) , Ekam Mehta (III- green) Aishleen( III Green) Sanya Thakur (IV-Brown), Shruti Guleria (V-Violet), prabhjot kaur (V-Green), Netra Thakur (V-Red).

Mr. Harneet Singh Bhatia, the Chief Guest, in his address, encouraged the students to participate in sports and other extracurricular activities and emphasized that such ceremonies are very important for inculcating values and leadership qualities amongst students. Further, he appreciated the concept of different clubs for various activities and subject specific clubs.

The school Principal Rev. Sr. Crispin Maria felicitated the new cabinet of students and the club heads. Finally, the ceremony came to an end with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
