Commerce Department' of Sacred Heart Convent School, Organizes Consumer Awareness Program titled 'Jaago Grahak Jaago

Ludhiana,20 September (Daljeet Vicky) In an endeavor to educate and empower both students and the wider community about their rights and responsibilities as consumers, Commerce Department of took the initiative to organize a comprehensive Consumer Awareness Program in the school. This educational event not only aimed to enhance the knowledge of the students but also fostered a sense of social responsibility. The Consumer Awareness Program was conceived as a means to
create informed and vigilant consumers who understand their rights and can make well-informed decisions in the marketplace.


This helped in creating a more informed and vigilant consumer base
within the community.


The event featured a series of interactive sessions on various
aspects of consumer awareness. These included understanding
product labelling, recognizing counterfeit goods, deciphering legal
jargon in contracts, and making informed choices in the digital age.


Teachers shared their knowledge and insights. Their expertise added depth to the discussions and offered practical advice on consumer protection.


The Consumer Awareness Program pavedan opportunity to students to analyse real-life consumer scenarios, such as assessing the authenticity of products and deciphering pricing strategies employed by businesses. These activities encouraged critical thinking and decision-making skills.


Appreciating the efforts of Commerce Department, the school Principal Sr. Crispin Maria acknowledged the commitment of the department to provide a holistic education that extends beyond the confines of textbooks.
